Clutching a bowl of popcorn, wide-eyed and fixated on Chiller Theater at the age of five, Melissa knew that horror and cleavage were inexplicably bound; today she lives it through her writing. Not everyone gets a second chance at childhood dreams, after a car accident side-lined her, part of starting over meant embracing all her old diaries and journals. Meaning? She's living proof that sometimes a little brain damage helps. When she isn't pecking at the keyboard she enjoys maintaining the family graveyard, swamp hikes, caring for her four-legged beasties, and lurking in the hills of Appalachia.
Her works have appeared in numerous places including Aspen Mountain Press, Red Rose Publishing, Insidious Reflections, Dark Gothic Resurrected and Twisted Dreams. With poetry featured on (the now defunct) Gothic Tears and Justus Roux.
